Challenges

These are the challenge problems for Harnessing Quantum 2026 — well-posed questions that go beyond a reference paper and may lead to a research output.

Pick one for your group—or bring your own, then run /take-challenge before 15:00 on Day 1. The skill opens a draft pull request that registers your team and challenge. See the Guide for the full workflow.

The list below is drawn live from GitHub issues carrying both the challenge and accepted labels.

Each group runs /take-challenge before 15:00 on Day 1 to open one draft registration pull request. Work under tracks/<track>/solutions/ and push every commit to that same PR. By Thursday 20:00, run /challenge-report and gh pr ready; the PR becoming ready for review is your submission.

The workflow is:

  1. Register: /take-challenge opens the draft PR on Day 1.
  2. Work: every commit lands in that same PR.
  3. Submit: /challenge-report, then gh pr ready, by Thursday 20:00.
