A cross-campus hackathon bringing together HKUST(GZ) and HKUST(CWB) to build AI coding skills that transform scientific research workflows.

How It Works

1. Identify a workflow — Pick a repetitive or time-consuming process in your research: literature reviews, benchmark scripts, paper writing, computational library development, or anything else you wish you could automate.
2. Build with AI — Create a skill, MCP server, or command line tool using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, and more) that makes that workflow faster and smarter.
3. Demo and share — Present your skill and let others benefit from it.

We encourage all participants to propose the workflow you want to automate and setup AI agent tools before the hackathon.
